UFC 147 takes place later tonight at Estádio Jornalista Felipe Drumond in Belo Horizonte, Brazil and airs live on pay-per-view at 10pm ET/7pm PT. The PPV broadcast will be preceded by prelimary card on FX at 8pm ET/5pm PT, and on Facebook at 7pm ET/4pm PT.
In the main event, Rich Franklin and Wanderlei Silva meet in a rematch of their UFC 99 bout.
Heavyweights collide as Fabricio Werdum takes on Mike Russow.
The TUF Brazil middleweight final takes place as Cezar “Mutante” Ferreira faces Sergio Moraes.
The first ever TUF Brazil winner is determined as the featherweights Rony Mariano Bezerra and Godofredo de Oliveira face off.
And the card opens up with Hacran Dias going up against Yuri Alcantara.

Rich Franklin vs Wanderlei Silva: It would be hard to match the magic of their UFC 99 bout, but Wanderlei and “Ace” sure did their best. After a close first round, which saw Franklin act as the aggressor, Wanderlei make some decisive movements in the second, as he dropped “Ace” and followed up with a flurry of shots. Despite his good round, Wanderlei had considerably less luck. Looking exhausted, and a shell of himself in the second round, Silva was out struck and picked apart by the teacher. As the fight entered the final round, the two men engaged in a tentative affair, until the final minute, when Wanderlei called his foe on and went into berserker mode. As the two spent the final 20 seconds brawling, Franklin dropped Wanderlei as the bell sounds. What an amazing fight. Rich Franklin spoils Wanderlei’s Brazilian homecoming, as he takes home the unanimous decision with scores of 49-46 across the board.
Cezar “Mutante” Ferreira vs Sergio Moraes: Cezar Mutante was basically handpicked to win TUF Brazil. Not literally, of course, but he was given favorable match-ups, and was widely expected to be “the guy”. He did his best to prove that in this fight, but that’s not to say that he didn’t get overly cocky. After a pretty dominant first round, “Mutante” went into the second feeling pretty good about himself. Big mistake. He wound up getting hurt badly in the second, and he struggled to recover. In the third round, he once again took control, but found himself hurt again. It didn’t matter though, “Mutante” still did what he does and lit up his foe, more than enough to win a decision. Cezar Ferreira takes home a decision with scores of 29-28, 30-27, and 30-27.
Rony Mariano Bezerra vs Godofredo de Oliveira: What a fitting finale to an exciting season of TUF Brazil. Wanderlei’s top pick Rony Jason used his fantastic striking to set himself apart from his foe. Through three close, hotly contested rounds, the two men went toe to toe, much to the crowd’s delight, and put on probably the best fight of the entire TUF season. A particularly interesting exchange saw Oliveira eat a flying knee, jump guard, lock on a body triangle, and found himself on the wrong end of a slam. The two men nearly threw some blows after the final bell, and the crowd was not so hot on the unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 15, the decision was in, and the first ever TUF Brazil championship title goes to Mariano Bezerra with scores of 29-28 across the board.
Fabricio Werdum vs Mike Russow: Fabricio Werdum is improving by leaps and bounds. Halting Russow’s winning streak, Werdum opted to strike with the Chicago native, and it paid off. After dropping Russow with a sneaky uppercut, he swarmed on him, and dropped bombs that remained undefended until the stoppage, which came at 2:28 of round one.
Hacran Dias vs Yuri Alcantara: Hacran Dias had a pretty successful, but boring debut inside the octagon. Throughout three rounds, Dias took down Alcantara again and again, stifled his submission attempts, and ground out a unanimous decision with scores of 29-28, 30-27 and 30-27.
Anistavio Medeiros de Figueiredo vs Rodrigo Damm: Rodrigo Damm proved what we all suspected, he is a bad, bad man. The two men started furiously, and it wasn’t long before Damm rocked his foe with a left, followed up with a right, and joined him on the mat. There, he had no problem getting his back and locking in a fight ending rear naked choke. The tap came at 2:12 of the first round.
Francisco Drinaldo vs Delson Heleno: Heleno tried his best to take Drinaldo down, but he had less than no luck. Drinaldo refused to let his foe take him down, lit him up with knees and punches, and when he was able to get Heleno on the mat, he let loose with hammerfists and forced the stoppage at 4:21 of the first round.
Hugo Viana vs John Teixeira da Conceicao: Wolverine’s may be aggressive, but they don’t have the best gas tanks. Hugo Viana used his powerful striking to damage his foe, but Teixeira would not be stopped. In the second round, Viana, who was visibly exhausted, gave up the round as he got out struck and outgrappled. In the third, the two men were equally exhausted, and Viana took control yet again. While neither man could put together a finish, they each had some great moments, and this was a very close fight. Hugo Viana took home a split decision with scores of 29-28, 28-29, and 29-28.
Leonardo Mafra Texeira vs Thiago de Oliveira Perpetuo: Only the first round was close. In the first frame, the two men exchanged blows, with neither man pulling away. It was the second where Perpetuo pulled away with heavy blows, nearly putting his foe away. In the third, he landed a right, swarmed on Mafra, and got the TKO at 0:41 of the third round.
Marcos Vinicius Borges Pancini vs Wagner Campos: It was a successful octagon debut for Vina, as he stopped his foe within the distance. The first round was very close, as the two men engaged in a ground battle, and were very evenly matched. In the second, Pancini started to pull away, landing more and more strikes and imposing his will with his ground control. It would be far into the final frame when “Vina” landed some powerful unanswered blows, which prompted Herb Dean to step in at 1:04 of Round Three.
Milton Vieira vs Felipe Arantes: It was a lackluster fight, as was expected, but that’s not to say it was a bad one. Showing improved striking Milton Vieira, who was clearly a fan favorite, controlled where the fight was dictated, and showed some good wrestling as well. On the other hand, Arantes was considerably better in the grappling aspect of the bout, and the two went back and forth for the full 15 minutes. The judges saw the fight in favor of no one. Scores of 29-28, 28-29, and 28-28 means it’s a draw.
