You bought your snacks yet? You already know this a marathon weekend of fights. WHAT ARE YOU DOING AT HOME ON THE COMPUTER, YOUNG MAN? Go clean your room, for God’s sake, take a shower, and when you’re done, come back and read a bunch of words about what’s going to happen at UFC on FX 4.

Ross Pearson vs Cub Swanson

It’s tough to hate on Ross Pearson. Despite his recent hardships both in and out of the octagon, the Brit is really “The Real Deal”, and as a featherweight, he should be able to shine. Cub Swanson isn’t exactly a pushover though. With Swanson’s powerful striking, I could see him causing some serious problems for Pearson, but, he won’t. This will be a brawl, albeit, a technical one, and Pearson wins this on points.

Brian Ebersole vs TJ Waldburger

I love Brian Ebersole. From his cartwheel kicks to his questionable body hair, and his IDGAF style of grappling, the light hearted fighter has won me over. I also am a fan of Waldburger, however, I see this looking similar to Ebersole’s fight against Dennis Hallman. Look for Ebersole to survive a few close calls, and finish Waldburger in the second with strikes.

Spencer Fisher vs Sam Stout

These two men have had two previous meetings. Both have ended via decision, and each man has taken home one victory. I think this could very well be an exciting and interesting fight, but Sam Stout is winning this. Stout has arguably hit a high point in his career, and Fisher is very much on the decline. Stout has Fisher’s number, and he’s stopping his foe.

Clay Guida vs Gray Maynard

At last, the main event. These two need no introduction, so I will merely break down the fight. Clay Guida can go for 25 minutes no problem, Gray fades as the fight progresses. One constantly puts on pressure, the other can’t seem to finish his opponents, no matter how hard he hits them. I expect a rapid pace, but in the end, Maynard’s superior wrestling acumen and improved striking saves his title hopes, as he handily bests Guida on the scorecards.

The main card goes down tomorrow night at 9pm ET. Let me know what you think, and most of all, enjoy the fights.
